Anyone have an E21 A4 Alpina?

Hi folks,

Does anyone here have or have owned an E21 Alpina A4 4 cylinder?

Thanks,

Andrew.

I've only seen one, and that was a red A4 in total BMW.

I doubt many have survived these days over here, or that not many were converted in the first place!

There were many of these E21 variants built by Alpina - several hundreds at least. However I agree with Andy that there are not many left - they've likely been destroyed as they were seen as tuned BMWs and therefore not treated any differently.

Here is one for sale in the Netherlands.

Manders Autogas

Click on classic cars. Ive only seen this one. This is the weaker of the three variants that Alpina produced, but a rare find nonetheless. This car is probably as close to original as you will find in an A4, just needs a little more TLC to make it perfect.

Ah, good for you. That was a nice and rare car. I was thinking of buying it myself, but I already have two B6 E21's. Laurens is a nice guy, I have bought two cars from him.

@Kees: Will put up some pics when I figure out how to.

@DJ Mink: Thanks. Yes Laurens is a very nice guy, bought my B7 turbo off him and he is retoring a car for me too. My cousin bought a B7S from him and Laurens is restoring a car for him too.
I was in Florida recently on holidays, loved it, very nice place. What are the two B6's you have like?

I have one from 1979 that I found here in the states. Very nice car with low miles, and in very good condition now that I have cleaned it up. I also have a red one that I bought from Laurens. The car needed some work and was missing some parts, but I have have all the original parts back on the car. There is a link somewhere on here that has pictures of both cars.
