7-series productio line prepared for the Alpina B7

Montage

In der Montage laufen derzeit rund 1.200 Einheiten des 5er, 6er und 7er von insgesamt zwei Bändern. Eines davon ist rein für den 5er reserviert, das zweite ist so flexibel, dass es neben dem 6er und 7er notfalls auch den 3er integrieren könnte. "Man kann dieses Band als reinste Multi-Kulti-Linie bezeichnen", sagt Werksleiter Wolfgang Stadler stolz. Denn neben den Standard-Modellen laufen hier jeweils auch ihre M- und Alpina-Versionen- bis hin zu den gepanzerten Sicherheitsvarianten, dem 7er High Security, oder dem Hydrogen 7. Dabei übernimmt die Dingolfinger Mannschaft sogar einen Teil der Sitzfertigung selbst, statt sie an Zulieferer auszulagern: Rund 600 Lederarten und -farben in 40.000 verschiedenen Varianten stehen hier zur Verfügung.

I fully expect to see the B7 at Geneva '09.

The most interesting part will be the engine, which in all likelihood will power the F01 B5...

Of course. And I expect an atmospheric engine Alpina to be introduced as well.
