Hi Gustav,
I brought the car there for engine, gearbox and differential oil to be replaced.
As welll the engine set up to be checked and silver stripes to be put on the car.
I also asked Alpina to proceed to a total car check-up and change everything in need of change.
They only changed a 40cm long small water hose (between the radiator and the small water tank) and told me nothing was in need of change on this car, neither small items like spark plugs nor exhaust silent blocs or small stuff like that. Really nothing... hence their remark
By the way : As I was in Germany I put the foot to the floor for the very first time since I own the car. I was on the way back from Buchloe, It was rather late (around 9pm), the air was cool, a superb instant where the day dies and the coulours are vanishing

I am not at all a fan of such "my car is quick" experiences and I did not / will never buy my car(s) just for its/their speed but I really had to test it.
Quite surprisingly, the speedo needle went on the right and on the bottom of the speed display reaching the 270km/h mark without apparent big effort, in a rather short time and with a superb roaring engine ! I've been absolutely stuck by the easy way the car reached this already significant speed.
Only things I was a bit missing were the oil smell, the heat and all the
strange noises that I love in older cars at high speeds. Other than that, this experience really has been unique because it was the right time to try on a quite empty Autobahn and in an ideal environment
On a separate note (a bit off topic)... I also had a quick visit to my B2S CSL during my trip in Germany : The project is really very close to completion (BMW ALPINA side stickers missing, engine bay stickers missing etc...) and I will drive soon to Buchloe with the car (upon project completion). I will upload further pictures in the appropriate thread but cannot resist to post one pic here
