Hi B9 boy,

Not sure what you really want to know about E9 coupés? Anyway, here are some highlights for you.

- 2 door coupés built between 1969 - 1975
- Engines from 2,5liter to 3,2 liter
- 2800CS (2,8 liter engine, carburetted, 170 bhp))
- 3.0 CS (3 liter engine, carburetted, 180 bhp)
- 3.0 CSi (3 liter engine, fuel injected, 200 bhp)
- 3.0 CSL (3 liter engine, LHD,carburetted, 180 bhp)
- 3.0 CSL (3 liter engine, LHD,fuel injected, 200 bhp)
- 3.0 CSL (3 liter engine, RHD, 200 bhp)
- 3.0 CSL (3,2 liter engine, LHD, 206 bhp)
- 2.5 CS (2,5 liter engine, LHD, 150 bhp)

Body by Karmann, tons of rust, parts very expensive and even if BMW AG did improve (via Mobile Tradition) "new" parts are not as good as "old" parts. There are some websites about E9's (USA, Germany...). Better buy a good car for the right price than a cheap car that will be, in th end, a nightmare to get right (financial aspect as well as issues finding the right people to work on those cars). Good luck.
Yannick.

Thanks Yannick

I was after specs which youve kindly provided plus advice on buying. Ive seen a resto project that seems cheap but in the long run perhaps it will cost a fortune????
