Was wondering if the main ignition box under the dash that controls the ignition system on my E21 B6 can be repaired. Alpina wants 4500 for a new one, which is beyond insane. It seems to be some sort of circuit board in this little black box part number 12 10 116. Anyone have any suggestions of who might be able to check and repair it? Just wired up the standard E12 ignition and the car fired right up and runs great, but I would like to have the proper Alpina system in place. Thanks
Hi thanks for the response. THe box says S7-1 Nr 82. It also has Alpina stickers on it with part number 12 10 116. I would be interested if you have it. Also looking for two rear Alpina mufflers for the B6 if you have those as well.
I did. They said its basically impossible to fix it without a schematic, plus the chips are so old they're probably not available. Alpina did confirm they used this same board on many cars, so if anyone is parting out an older car, let me know if you have this part.
