BMW Alpina B12 5.7 E38

Hi everybody,,

from today on I'm a member of this board, .
Since half a year i read this board regulary but I didn't feel the need to sign up. Last week though, I went to get my new car in Brandenburg. An Alpina B12 5.7 E38, . I love driving it and hope to enjoy it for as long as possible.

My friends dad owns a MB E55 AMG. Since I have my Alpina, my friend is eager to race me but we haven't yet had the chance.
Does anyone know the real performance statistics for both cars, because I've read that the standing start (0-1000m) for the E55 takes just 24.5 sec. www.alpina.de says my car does it in 25.7 sec. I know I will lose in 0-100 km/h but I think that Alpina's numbers are underestimated; because my car feels faster in the standing start than the MB (I drove it a month ago).
Can someone help me out?

Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the board!!

And congratulations to your new car, it seems very nice. Carbonblack must be an individual order...What kind of interior do you have in it?`Do you have pics?

I think the E55 is a little bit faster but in high-speed acceleration they should be really close. But I hope you can do this to him

Let us know what happens...

Type error,,

Sorry Janne; It is not Carbonblack but Kosmosschwarz!!!
I mistook me because 3 months ago I drove a brand new Carbonblack D10. The owner of the Alpina-dealer nearby had let me drive it. Great car by the way; but not as comfortable and fast like mine now.

Is this car is for sale again? as I've seen it in the BMW Mags over here in the For sale sections.
I have to say, I'm not too keen on the wheels you had on the GT Seven (no offence intended), but a nice GT none the less, can't wait for the B12 pics.
welcome aboard.

M3 gt

Andy,

if you're looking for a M3 GT go to mobile.de.
There are a lot of them with the original wheels,
but I'm not sure if they exist with steering-wheel on the right.
(only approx. 500 made)
