HVAC quesiton for B10 (3.5 and BT) owners

Good day all,

I have an odd situation with my Biturbo. When the HVAC fan is on, the little vents that are at the edges of the dask by the A-Pillars always blow hot air. I mean ALWAYS. If I have the AC on, they blow hot. No matter where the climate control temperature wheels are set - they blow hot. The setting on where the air blows does not change it either. The only thing that makes it not blow hot is turning it off.

So, does anyone have any idea what is causing this? In the summer when it was 30 degrees I was dying becuase the AC could not keep up. Don't really want to go through that again...

Thanks so much!

Rob

You need a new heater valve. I had the same problem on my M5 with climate control

That's the one. Try tapping it first as it might get it working again, but it's only a matter of time before it goes out again.

If you follow the red arrows, that's quite an extensive job if the mixing flaps are gone.
