Thanks! Interesting on the speedo. I believe my speedo is fairly correct. I do not believe your issue is due to the wheel/tire radius- which I am certain the speedo has been calibrated for. I am sure its due to BMWs penchant for overstating your true speed. They use some kind of formula thats like +/- 5% plus 3MPH. The law in Germany, I am told, is its OK to overstate speed, but its very very very NOT OK to understate it. So at around an indicated 100, I wouldnt be shocked if the actual speed is something in the 93MPH. All BMWs have this to a degree. Soooooooo, how are you enjoying yours? As you can tell, I like mine. Alot! They might have to rename me...

Thanks for the kind words Gustav. I never saw that ad but I read about it. A very apt description. I think of it as "rollin with the big dawg"...

Fieldy, please write about your experience with these two cars. It will be interesting to read your perspective on them.

Thanks guys. Got about 3400 miles on it now and I am more impressed than ever. The car is very much like the E39 M5 in that it has a depth of abilities that you work your way up to exploring. Its because its a fairly large vehicle where you feel its mass and therefore you will be a little cautious at first. Its also more of a luxury car than an M car would be, but I like that. The only slight problem so far has been the combination of bad roads and the rubber band MPS2 tires. Gone through 2 tires now and 1 rim with some slight cosmetic damage to another rim. Glad I bought that wheel+ tire insurance.....
