GaAlpinaowner, ALL CSLs came with Alpina 7x14 wheels Do not forget that Alpina had the CSL project responsibility The 3.0 CSL has
been developped under Alpina authority, expertise and responsibility This car having the 7x14 Alpina wheels (and you are right, they
were on the car) just tells it has original wheels. and That's nice

This car being an early series two CSL (3003ccm fuel-injected engine, 200bhp) it should normally be without aerodynamic addenda

To close the price discrepancy question mark, I do not know where the Roundel got its figure from but the only valid figure
still remains to me the figure I have personally been told by the vintage car broker who sold the car. Having said that, I really wish
CSLs were cheaper I would have a dozen of them in my garage

BTW, thanks to all for the kind compliments

Will your B2-S have the fibreglass Alpina airdam on the front, when it's finished? I seem to recall photos of B2's with and without it...

Hythe,

Maybe not easy to see on the picture because of wrapping ? Yes, I also have the B2-S front spoiler. I had some uncertainties regarding the front airdam. As matter of fact I have been wondering what to do regarding its final aspect. Should I paint it Inka Orange as the car Should I paint it black as it was the rule in the early seventies The nose of the car is black and I do not like very much the black on black touch. A black airdam does totally disappear on a black nose. I finally decided to go for Inka Orange. I always will have the possibility (this will be, BTW much more easier as the other way round) to paint it black if I am not happy with the final aspect. BTW, having the airdam and the car painted during same process also has a big advantage : I am definitely sure the Inka Orange coulour of the airdam does 100% match the Inka Orange colour of the car Which maybe would not have been that easy afterwards Paint it black afterwards (if necessary) will not be that complicated.. Black is black

Absolutely STUNNING work Yannick. It is wonderful to see that there are still people out there willing to cope with the efforts (and money ) of restoring one of the most beautiful Coupe's to come out from BMW and Alpina.

Would love to see the result once you are done.

Keep up the good work. My sincere compliments

Should look stunning in the end with the airdam on - IMHO, I always rather liked the black airdam, with the silver ALPINA script (?), under the black bumper - so menacing, in an understated way...

Anyone know how many C2-S' were built, or estimates of how many remain?

Hi everybody,

I am just back from the Nuerburgring (I will post some pictures in the appropriate thread). Prior driving back home, I had a quick look to my Alpina
B2-S 3.0 CSL and I take this opportunity to update the Board about restoration progress. In the end not very much (read : spectacular) progress,
but things do however go towards the right direction

BTW : next weekend, engine, geabox and other important elements will be installed... Provided no surprise appears (and I really do not expect any)
the car should be at Buchloe for full homologation at some point in October this year

A view of the front sway Bar (uniball parts now fitted)

A view of the other front sway Bar

A view of the new Scheel bucket seats

A view of the special Oil Filter housing (temp sensor, oil circuit etc...)

A view of the rear sway Bar (uniball parts now fitted)

A view of the other rear sway Bar

View of the Oil Cooler for the Diffferential

Picture of the ZF gear box (now clean !)

Picture of the Alpina magnesium split rims (centers will be black but it was just to see how cooool those rims will be on the car )

Will keep you informed about further progress within next weeks
