It is definitely not normal. I've read enough discussions on this to determine that not all cars are affected. But those that are affected by the "flat" settings problem, there's no resolution yet. My car does the same thing. If you turn the car off and back on immediately, the settings stay. But if you leave the car off for more than 15 minutes, the DSP settings go flat. My friend's car which has a production date 2 months earlier than mine does not have this problem. Go figure.
