Mattar, thanks loads for posting the pix for me. Hardwire to roof panel done by my BMW tech, all additional installation by me. Incredibly simple: Had instructed the tech to bring wire for remote junction box to underdash area because I couldn't figure out where I wanted to mount the display. Attached remote junction to underdash with velcro so I could easily reach under to disconnect remote. Feed wire to remote display under console (remove console panel of course),pop out the ashtray, drill hole in right side of ashtray depression to feed connection for remote display, cut plastic panel to fit area (purchased large sheet from hobby store for 50 cents!), then cut window for remote face. Cut panel for snug fit, plug in remote display and voila!
Ivory1, unfortunately the main unit is still mounted on the left side of the rearview mirror, but tucked just behind it. STEALTH TIP: add black tape on the windshield where the suction cups would go and they are hidden from the outside!!! Euro Fire Extinguisher was bought at Bekkers,
