If you read the rumours about the E39 you'll see that the final product was spot-on (although at the lower end of the speculation-spectrum

)

Using the lower-end rule the next beast will put out 500 hp. But then there is always the competition in the fierce horsepower war...so I'm guessing the E60 will put out more than 500 horses....
