You mentioned the heat there as a problem for your car. Were you aware that there is an option for double-glazed (insulated) windows that greatly reduce the amount of heat getting into your car? They are two thinner panes of glass with a layer of nitrogen gas between them and a frame which is only visible when the window is partly rolled down.
You'll need to replace the glass and the window tracks as well as the piece of rubber trim that sits inside the door. Cost of parts is about $850 US which includes front and rear rollup windows as well as the small side glass in the rear doors.
You can also get the insulated glass in a factory tint that is similar to the rear windows on a BMW X5.
