I'm not really a paint expert...

I can't give you a good answer on that.

You may be correct. I thought you could color sand first and then apply the new clear coat. The shop does Pebble Beach show cars and they won the historic hot rod coupe class last year. They have also won best in show awards year after year with hot rods and classic cars too.

They're preparing for Pebble Beach now. They also built and painted the cars used in all the ZZ-Top music videos. They start charging at about $150,000.00 to do a show car, I believe. It goes up from there. They are working on 3 show cars now.


It is very possible that the are re-painting the hood entirely because I am paying so much for it. The hood is $1500.00 alone. I'm crazy right?
