Bob, the light panel pops out with a screwdriver. It IS a tight fit, so becareful and take your time.

I used the BROWN wire on the homelink harness (Take the Homelink unit all the way out and you'll see it, it's the harness that connects to the actual Homelink unit itself). There is room to stuff extra wiring BEHIND all the switches. There is no room elsewhere.
