It all depends on where you live. I assume Houston is a spread out kinda place with BIG roads and BIG parking spaces - i.e. you won't need it. If you don't need it don't get it.
Here in London, however, I find PDC to be the best option ever. Parking is commonly only found in tight spots and PDC makes all the difference between being able to park or spending another 15 minutes looking for another space.
