I have a 2001 with the enhanced bass option, and I experienced the same problems as the first person who originally posted this string. I too had the CD player playing while no sound was coming out (sound arriving half way through the song), and at times the stereo (in cd, cassette, and radio modes) would only emit VERY loud static (volume control would do nothing). I took it to the dealership and they told me it was the amp. I have a new amp now and have not gotten a chance to really test it out... will keep you posted. I have to admit however.... when it works the enhanced system is great!!
