Dealers can add a warranty to a car that is otherwise out of warranty. Dealer uses a nationally recognized third-party service (so your dealer is really an insurance agent of sorts and is compensated somehow by the third-party service) and runs about $1300 for 1 year, $2K for 2 years; at least, it did for a 993TT. You get a warranty worked on by a dealer's Porsche technicians; just as if you had bought a new car. Worth the piece of mind to get one.
