I disabled the Check Warning messages too, I used to get the big DSC off warning on the HUD when I entered M-mode (S6) which was really annoying because I generally need to see the m-view (rpm tacho) as soon as I enter M-mode.

I have it set to show the m-view (rpm tacho) at all times in any mode, if I'm using sat nav then I just follow iDrive screen arrows, if I'm in a new city I'll use voice-command "HUD settings" to quickly jump to HUD menu and turn rpm m-view off and Navigation on.
I can only do it when im in the car.. but there is a way to skip a message that comes up. Like the DSC icon, whenever that comes up I push something and it clears that message and goes immediately back to the tach or navi.
