hey guys. Let me answer some questions.

First, here is the shaft on my M3:

To answer some quesitons asked:
  1. IS THIS AVAILABLE: No, not for he M5. More below
  2. WHO MAKES THIS: We use ACPT (linked above in the post)
  3. WHEN: approx 3 months
  4. HOW MUCH: $1200-1500

The additional cost and time are due to the rear C/V that they are having to make may add a few bucks and HAS added time. The original manufacturer of the rear C/V's that ACPT uses (who is in Germany, and OE's this piece for BMW/Mercedes, etc) stopped making them. So we are working with ACPT for other sources.

In fact, ACPT have been over here every day this week (they are across the street from us).

I hope this adds some good info.

Strength in numbers. The more people who are interested, the faster I can get them. Right now I have about 30 Mercedes customers who want them, so the M5 guys need to let me know ASAP!

PS - There is a good discussion of this on MBWorld.

thanks
Brad
