I'm considering the purchase of a turbo, but am concerned with the latest model's quality versus the Porsche's of the past. I owned a 95 model C4 and loved the materials and quality and had no problems with it at all. I've driven the latest 996 coupe (non-turbo) and it appears the interior just doesn't impress me (The 996 is ergonomically leaps ahead, but the 993 had higher quality carpet, knobs felt solid, etc.)
So any thoughts on a 97 Turbo S vs a 996 TT?
BTW - it would appear the 97 Turbo S is faster - does anyone know? Claims are 0-60 in 3.8 secs, Top Speed 188
