While I'm not 100% positive it won't work, I can definitely say that it does not look like the MK4 in my car. I would suspect it is not IBus, but is rather based on the new electrical / communication architecture (such as in the E60).

You can certainly find cheaper ones - I only paid about $550 for mine.
