I have attached a few photos and marked the course on an overhead view of the track.

The Experience was very instructive, now I need to make time for another class

Some things I learned:
  1. The M5 will stop in a very short distance, even in the wet. Hold the brake down and do not let up, and remember to steer.
  2. DSC can save your life. It was amazing to drive the M5 on the skid pad with DSC off, and then again with DSC on. In the real world, when DSC kicks in, it is time to SLOW DOWN.
  3. SMG will ignore downshifts which would cause an overrev. The high speed straight allowed taking 2nd gear to redline, and shifting to 3rd. Braking hard at the end of the straight, the car must be slowed down before shifting to 2nd. This might seem obvious, but it is not something I would want to test on my own car.
