The 2013 Geneva Motor Show saw some outrageous cars on display and far be it for Hamann to be left out, they took the chance to unveil two new incredible-looking kits for the M5 and M6.

The M5 Mi55ion and M6 Mirr6r kits, as you can expect from Hamann by now, crank up the aggression levels significantly, and what follows is a truly breath-taking transformation in the cars. We think they’re two of the firm’s best-looking kits, and if you find your M5 or M6 slightly demure for your liking we would be more than happy to discuss with you what Hamann can offer to give it some edge. Pre-orders are accepted from the 11th March.

Aggression is the name of the game for Hamann and the Mi55ion kit has it in spades. The front end is dominated by the glaring headlights, giving the car a far meaner look. The car is also given more muscular haunches with the wide, vented wheelarches. There’s also a new bumper, darkened brake lights and a spoiler for the rear, which is available in visible carbon along with a wide range of other optional aerodynamic and interior parts. The look is completed with Hamann’s brand new wheels; the elegant yet sporty forged ‘Formula’ design. The kit is available to pre-order now – please contact us for the full range of prices and information.

The Mirr6r kit transforms what is already a beautiful car into something truly breath-taking. The M6 is given an aggressive poise that is unmistakably Hamann but all the while maintains the same sleek lines at the core of the original design. These philosophies sit together in perfect harmony in the Mirr6r kit to create an astonishingly striking, dynamic look. Along with Hamann mainstays of widened arches, blacked-out lights and angular vents, the bonnet is also replaced by one made totally of visible carbon with two large air scoops carved deep into each side. Please contact us for any additional information – we have started taking pre-orders for this incredible kit now.

Sitting right in plain view at the Detroit Auto Show is BMW‘s latest concept, which will foreshadow what the upcoming 4-series coupe will look like.

Following in the footsteps of the BMW 6-series coupe, the 4-series concept coupe is a sleek, sexy and unbelievably gorgeous vehicle. In fact, the grilles on the fenders are actually sourced from the bigger 6 Series.

In terms of size, the 4 Series is a bit bigger than its 3-series sedan counterpart. An extra 1.9 inches is added to the wheelbase of the 3-series, and the length of the 4-series coupe is 1.7 inches longer than the sedan.

There are many hints that the 6-series had an influence on the inside of this concept. Satin-finish aluminum trim highlight the interior bits by the air intakes and vents, door handles and exterior mirrors.

For the production vehicle, expect the same power-plants that are available in the current 3-Series, just like past 3-series coupe. If the sedan is anything to go by, the production 4-series will be quite a solid handling car, setting a benchmark for a dynamic handling luxurious coupe.

Having a tug-of-war over whether or not calling something a four-door coupe is even reasonable is a waste of time, but the M6 Gran Coupe most certainly isn’t.

BMW officially unveiled the car ahead of its in-person debut during the 2013 Detroit Auto Show after photos leaked earlier this week. With 560 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque, this car has the most powerful engine ever mated to one of BMW’s M Division vehicles.

What’s more impressive is that the 4.4-liter twin turbo V8 offers peak torque from 1,500 rpm all the way to 5,750. It’s right at that point when the engine’s peak horsepower takes over, thrusting the car to its 7,200 rpm redline. All that power will be translated through a seven-speed M-Double Clutch transmission.

For the first time, BMW will also offer the M5 and M6 family with optional carbon ceramic brakes to give the cars even more stopping power than the already-powerful standard brake system can.

Those brake sit inside unique 20-inch wheels which come wrapped in high-performance summer tires. The car is further distinguished by a carbon fiber composite roof panel.

Switch from outside to in, and the expectedly well-appointed interior is also present. Alcantara covers the headliner and M6 badging helps distinguish the cabin. The car also gets exclusive carbon fiber trim to match the roof and an iDrive 10.2-inch iDrive display — all of which is standard equipment.

Pricing and options details aren’t available yet, but BMW says it will release more information in the coming months.

The bulletin says vehicles fitted with an affected pump can unexpectedly lose oil pressure, potentially causing major engine damage. BMW is contacting customers who have already received their new cars and telling them not to drive their vehicles until they have been inspected by a dealer.

Each dealer will be provided with an explanation of the flaw from the company later today.

This will undoubtedly spur an official NHTSA recall sometime in the near future.
